ABOUT THE ARTIST
This website showcases my most significant works from the past 17 years – a journey of artistic evolution that began the moment I declared art to be the defining pursuit of my life.
Drawing and painting have always been my most natural means of expression. For me, the creative spirit emerges from deep within the Self and saturates all aspects of life. My work is both a lifeline and a language — a way of translating existence into form.

Watercolor Decadence: The Raw Beginning
My first series, “Watercolor Decadence,” represents a phase of raw, intuitive creativity. I painted without plans, sketches, or analysis — just pure inspiration. These early works emerged in a spontaneous state, revealing imagery and thoughts that felt more like transmissions than ideas.
As a teenager, I was drawn to themes too serious for my years — death, transcendence, mythology, and the abyss of the unconscious. I had no formal training at the time, only paints, scraps of paper, and a powerful inner world.
Between 2007 and 2017, I painted continuously through my school years, university studies at VGIK (Russian State University of Cinematography), and later, while studying at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles.

“The unborn work in the psyche of the artist is a force of nature that achieves its end either with tyrannical might or with the subtle cunning of nature herself, quite regardless of the personal fate of the man who is its vehicle.”
– C.G. Jung
Education & Influence
Though I never received formal academic training in painting, my studies shaped my artistic vision in profound ways.
At VGIK, I explored the cultural and psychological impact of art. There, I learned how art can shape perception, influence society, and manipulate emotion.
In Los Angeles, I trained in 3D modeling and animation, gaining technical insight into how light, physics, and form create realism — tools I now apply to the construction of oil paintings.
I’ve always been an introvert, most alive in solitude. I’d wake at 5:30 AM, dress in full gothic regalia, drift through school in a dreamlike state while listening to music, and come home to paint or devour books and films. My life then was a strange but fertile ritual of creative obsession.
Painting as Ritual
Some of my strongest works began with a single phrase from a book, a song lyric, or a line from a film. These “germs” would spark a stream of inner images. I’d blast music, stand at my easel, and begin painting without knowing what would appear.
Colors were chosen blindly, and yet they always worked. Each painting was a living creature — growing from the unconscious in real time. This process was not only cathartic; it was spiritual.
Oil Painting: From Chaos to Craft
Eventually, I was called toward Oil Painting — the medium of endurance. I wanted to create museum-quality works that would outlive me.
With oil, my process became structured: I plan compositions, sketch ideas, and consciously design emotional responses. I balance the raw intensity of my earlier work with classical technique. The result is a refined but haunting visual language that can speak to both the intellect and the soul.
My Vision
Art is not just an act of expression — it is an act of becoming.
Every painting is a container for something larger than itself: philosophy, emotion, shadow, light, and myth. I strive to create works that provoke thought, awaken feeling, and linger in the soul long after they’re seen.
I carry many more “true” ideas in my mind — visions born of inspiration — waiting to be painted when the time is right.
